Touch-Learn Director meets Olympian Adam Peaty
Director of Touch-Learn and Second Vice President and Youth Chair of Uttoxeter Rotary Club, Anita Thomas-Epple, had the pleasure of meeting Gold Medal Olympian Mr Adam Peaty on Saturday, 1st October 2016 at Rotary's 81st Charter Evening. Adam took the UK's first Gold Medal at the 2016 Olympics in the men's 100m break stroke and Silver for the medley relay. Anita and the team at Touch-Learn have been following Adam's journey and celebrating his success. Anita said "Adam is an absolute inspiration to us all, especially our young people. It just goes to show that sheer hard work and determination really do pay off. It was a pleasure to meet Adam, and his family on Saturday - he is a delightful young man and so fitting that he should be recognised and thus awarded Rotary's prestigious Paul Harris Fellowowship by the President of Uttoxeter, Paul Lane. Although, quite rightly, the jewel paled somewhat in comparison with his fabulous Olympic medals!"
